Seth Rogen and James Franco star in first trailer for The Interview: watch now

The first trailer has arrived for The Interview, in which James Franco and Seth Rogen play a pair of journalists afforded the opportunity to interview North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

However, what they don't initially realise is that the interview has been set up by the US government, who want our hapless heroes to assassinate their subject as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Cue comedy misadventures aplenty as possibly the two least qualified men for the job look to pull off the hit without being gunned down in the process…

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

This first trailer doesn't give us too much footage of Franco and Rogen's back and forth, but there are enough traces of their usual bromance to give us an idea of what we're in for...

Directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg and co-starring Lizzy Caplan and Randall Park, The Interview will open in the UK on 29 October 2014.

Dwayne Johnson stars in new trailer for Hercules: watch now

Dwayne Johnson stars in new trailer for Hercules: watch nowYou cannot deny what you areJun 4th 2014By George Wales

A brand new trailer has arrived online for Hercules, in which Dwayne Johnson stars as the titular musclebound hero.

The film picks up with a washed-up Hercules, embittered by the loss of his family and trading on his reputation as a well-paid, but ultimately unfulfilled mercenary.

However, the chance to recapture his heroic past soon presents itself when an evil warlord begins to wreak havoc with an army of demonic nasties.

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

Naturally, Herc's scuffles with a raft of mythical monsters are the most attention-grabbing scenes on show here, but it's also nice to see Ian McShane and John Hurt bringing some gravitas to proceedings as a pair of wise old heads.

Directed by Brett Ratner and co-starring Joseph Fiennes, Rufus Sewell and Peter Mullan, Hercules will open in the UK on 25 July 2014.

Watch Daniel Radcliffe And Zoe Kazan Be Super Sweet In The New What If Trailer

Above you'll find the trailer to What If, the new romantic comedy starring Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan. After years of Hollywood mocking and subverting the romantic movie formula, it almost seems daring that this is a film following the tried-and-true storytelling device of the two young lovers who can't be together because of a significant other. The bad news is that the trailer gives away everything. The good news is that you can't "spoil" a good movie, so maybe the whole thing is worth it anyway.

In the film, Radcliffe plays a med school dropout in New York City who can't get his life straight. His buddy is played by Girls star Adam Driver, here providing comic relief just a day after he did the same in the first trailer for Shawn Levy's This Is Where I Leave You. Driver may just be the breakout star of Girls, or he might be an irritable weirdo we all tire from in six months. It's hard to say at this point. Whatever the case, there's an interesting culture melting pot moment in this trailer where Harry Potter is sitting at the breakfast table with Adam from Girls. Or Adam Driver of Star Wars. Take your pick.

Radcliffe's character's attraction to Kazan's is immediate, and why wouldn't it be? This girl is cuter than a baby penguin having a pillow fight with a koala. Kazan, who has been dating Paul Dano for seven years now, is gold and silver and all the colors of the rainbow and all the elements of the periodic table. She's the granddaughter to the great director Elia Kazan, so she comes from a great showbusiness legacy, and is cuter than a toy car that opens up to reveal a batch of pugs dressed in police and fireman uniforms. She is the best, and I hope What If is the big break that she deserves. Oh, Zoe.

Director Michael Dowse has had a colorful career up to this point largely working in the Canadian film industry. His crowning achievement thus far may be his last film, Goon. Written by Jay Baruchel and Seth Rogen's frequent writing partner Evan Goldberg, the hockey comedy starred Seann William Scott as a sweet but dim bouncer who is recruited to a minor league hockey team to be their on-ice enforcer - a job he joyfully carries out to the best of his ability. It's a brutal and foul-mouthed film (seriously, the avalanche of f-words...), but it has a surprising sweetness, particularly in Scott's understated performance and the chemistry he has with co-star Allison Pill.

What If, which was originally called The F Word (it's "friendship"), also stars Mackenzie Davis, Rafe Spall, Megan Park and did we mention Zoe? Oh, Zoe. The film opens August 1st.

Conan Reviews Watch Dogs For PS4, Breaks Embargo

Conan O'Brien runs a small skit on his show every once in a long while called the ?Clueless Gamer?. It lets the red-headed ravisher get some hands-on time with some of the most highly anticipated games either already out or coming out for home consoles.
The latest game to run the comical gamut at Conan's late night gig is Watch Dogs, Ubisoft mega-million-dollar blockbuster that marks the company's first new franchise-worthy IP in a long while, and a game that has been on the end of more discussions about graphics than James Cameron's pitch to Fox about big, blue, 3D cat people running around in jungle jockstraps on a foreign planet.
The skit is just over a handful of minutes long, showing Conan doing the typical goofy stuff that becomes the norm for someone who doesn't regularly play games, including accidentally shooting civilians and driving fake UPS trucks into walls and claiming that it was sabotage at the hands of FedEx.
The real interesting part about all this is that technically, Conan broke the review embargo.
Remember, a long time ago in a far away land called last week, Ubisoft warned everyone about ?false reviews? making the rounds. What was it again? Oh right, this was it right here...

So does that mean Team Coco's support of Watch Dogs in their Clueless Gamer review isn't valid?
DualShockers also recently posted a translated review from a French magazine, Jeux Video, calling it the first ?legit? review.
Even still, Jeux broke embargo much in the same way that Team Coco did. I don't see how either could be considered more ?valid? than WCCF Tech's early review ? a review that they did based on a retail copy of the game, and not a review copy, I might add ? other than that Jeux and Conan are very positive toward the game and continue to put coals into the furnace of the hype train.
Now some of you might instantly respond with: Maybe Team Coco bought their own copy.
It could be the case ? that the studio picked up a copy of the game from a retailer who broke the street date before May 27th. However, previously the producers had made it known that publishers provide Conan's studio with content... sometimes for a fee, as reported by Re/Code.
A press rep also mentioned the following in regards to Conan sponsoring and reviewing games on the show, stating...
?These Clueless Gamer segments are not serious reviews nor endorsements ? they are strictly comedic sketches,? ? ?We do not believe sponsorship identification is needed.?

The interesting thing about it is that it doesn't matter if you play games professionally or not (most reviewers aren't good enough to play games professionally), once you have an audience and you give your opinion about the content ? just like Conan does in the video above ? it's a review. Plain and simple. Nevertheless, Ubisoft made it known in an e-mail that the whole thing is to be played for laughs, with a representative saying...
"We look at the segment as more of a comedy sketch than a review."

What's funny here is that I'm sure not everyone would dismiss Conan's review entirely as throwaway comedy, especially when you have comments like this on his YouTube page...
Comedy sketch or not, come May 27th a bunch of people were just influenced to pick this game up. Conan's review may not be very comprehensive, but it sure is influential. Today's lesson has been learned: All negative reviews, even if they don't break embargo, aren't ?valid?. All positive reviews, even if they do break embargo, are ?valid?.
Good to know.

Watch LeVar Burton's Tearful Reaction To Reading Rainbow's Quick Kickstarter Success

To everyone who felt ill last year when Rob Thomas? feature version of Veronica Mars raised over a million dollars in a single day, there is still hope for humanity. Yesterday was the launch of the $1 million Kickstarter campaign to bring the classic PBS series Reading Rainbow back to children, and it has already raised almost $1.9 million at the time of this writing! Star Trek: The Next Generation?s LeVar Burton watched the donations pour in with Reading Rainbow CEO and writer/director Mark Wolfe, and the former host delivered an emotional thanks to everyone who donated, as seen above.

Wolfe posted the video as part of the campaign?s first update, along with his own personal gratitude-filled message. (We couldn?t tell if he teared up or not while writing it.) He says the video was taken on the set of TNT?s crime drama Perception, where they were flabbergasted to see the goal get surpassed less than 24 hours after it was announced. Can you imagine how much it could raise by the time its 35 day window is closed on Wednesday, July 2? They might be able to put Reading Rainbow on the moon by that point.

This news is ridiculously encouraging, as education normally takes a backseat to straightforward entertainment these days where crowdfunding is concerned. Luckily, Reading Rainbow is the best of both worlds. First airing in 1983, the series featured celebrity book readings and children?s book reviews, among other things, and played a huge part in many a child?s developmental years. Thankfully more in the reading department and less in the fashion world.

The funds raised will go towards building upon Reading Rainbow's already amazing mobile and tablet app, which features thousands of books and video field trips for children to learn from. One of the main goals is granting scholastic materials to schools across the country free of charge, as Wolfe and his team realize schools are a more reliable place than electronic devices in making a difference for impoverished children. (Don't be surprised if those Stretch Goals bring even more amazingness to fans.) Plain and simple, this is the kind of thing that Kickstarter should be known for. Check out the full promo video below, in which everyone is in awe of LeVar Burton, just like Troy was on Community, with less vocalizing.

Place your bets for how much money will be in Reading Rainbow's final pot of gold.

Watch Michel Gondry's Whimsically Gorgeous New Mood Indigo Trailer

I don't know how he does it, but Michel Gondry has a habit of taking concepts that could either be extremely pretentious or extremely maudlin and focusing them through the lends of his creative mind to create something really damned beautiful. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is still a vital part of the modern film conversation, and even lesser praised outings like Be Kind Rewind and The Green Hornet manage to sing with Gondry's energy and quirkiness. With the latest look at his new film, Mood Indigo, it looks like he's maintained his visual game, while not losing a step with his thematic prowess.

We spotted the fresh trailer on YouTube, and while it is as beautiful as it is heartwarming, it doesn't showcase the really outlandish nature of Gondry's film. Mood Indigo is the story of Colin (Roman Duris), a man who one day demands to the universe that he fall in love. Sure enough, he does just that as he meets the reassuring (and equally interesting) Chloe (Audrey Tautou), with whom he engages in a whirlwind love affair. Just as things look to be proceeding towards their happy end, the newlyweds encounter a bit of a snag: Chloe comes into contact with a spore that is killing her slowly. The only treatment is that she needs to be surrounded by fresh flowers at all times.

The story is based off of Boris Vlan's 1947 novel L'Ecume Des Jours, or Froth On The Daydream, which was also the basis of a Russian opera in 1981 from composer Edison Denisov. Staying power seems to be the strong suit of this project, and Michel Gondry's imaginative retro futuristic imagery helps keep it rooted in the original era of the story while setting it in the present day. If the trailer left any doubt what type of movie this was going to be, then the film's official poster definitely seals the deal.

All this movie needs is a pair of crazy kids from our modern times and a field of classically painted flowers for them to sit amidst. That combination tells you all you need to know about this movie, as well as the man who is behind it. Much like the films that he makes, Michel Gondry is one of those filmmakers that not only loves to find the traces of bygone eras in our modern times, he loves to celebrate the fact that these things have survived. Mood Indigo is slated for theatrical release on
